Now that I've had some time to more thoroughly examine the current status of the included websites and their functionality within Kidrocket (They're always changing) Some changes are in order I think?

I'd like to add 2 sites to the lineup...
    For boys: http://www.hotwheels.com
    &
    For girls: http://barbie.com
Both have a large assortment of FREE games, all are properly embedded in the webpages and both sites look fun to me. :)

    Sites being replaced:
    1. LEGO - I'm on the fence a bit here? Its pretty commercialized and like someone mentioned to me recently. "Thats what REAL LEGOS are for!"
    2. Nickjr - popups everywhere & way too many Buy Now buttons.
    3. noggin - being replaced by http://www.nick.com where you can access Nickjr, noggin and Neopets.com at the bottom of the page.

I'm going to think this over some more until tomorrow.

Thank you! I love the new lineup. You are right on about the Nick Jr issues - I convinced my kid that wasn't a fun site.

I'm glad you agree and kinda relieved. ;)

The one part I do not enjoy in all of this, is playing content police. Its always a hard decision.

    Hey bdragon1982 :)

Nat Geo seems to have simply been lost in the shuffle between versions, it wasn't removed purposely.
I'll see what I can do moving forward, to get both of those back in the lineup. I'm personally a big fan of both ;)

I already tore into the next version.
The new platform core is running perfectly so far & I have a few new features for the browser working already.

New releases will be coming out on a regular basis throughout the spring, probably 1 or 2 per month.
Next on my list here is a 1-click update checker lol

    stay tuned...

I'm new here and I love the program! Just wondering if you can add the Handipoints website to the list.. it's the most popular chore site right now and it's free with a virtual game area for doing their chores. Or is there anyway for the parents to add approved webites to our own copy of the program?

    Hi emilyandmom :)

I had come across that site before awhile back, looks nice.
How free is their free? lol

    All I could find is...
On how much does it cost? I see a "Its up to you" and a mention of fees in their TOS termination clause.
"(h) nonpayment of any fees owed by you in connection with the Services."
I'm constantly amazed at all the different levels of Free nowadays lol

Have also thought of developing something simple and similar for Kidrocket myself?
I really do like the reward for homework/chores concept.

A version is in the works that parents can control the sitelist on also ;)

    Hi Greg,

I'm new here. I think this app is just what I need for my kids.

I want to second the idea the idea of allowing the parents to modify the site list aw well. Perhaps a list with check boxes that allow the parents to turn on and off the sites included by default, as well as the ability to add to the list.

This is a very nicely thought out application. Congratulations.
