Kidrocket Beta 3 is now available to the public.
This beta 1.5.0.30 release will expire on March 31st, the final unrestricted release or another beta will be available by then.

*v1.5 now uses an external folder for saving encrypted email data and images. A kr_files folder will be created next to the .exe on first run.

Some new things to check out are...
    1. One-way Kids Email
Setting a ReplyTo email address in Admin > Email is required.
Kids can send email with their artwork and images, all replies come back to the ReplyTo email address.

    2. Admin > TimeLock feature to limit your childs time spent on the computer.

    3. Art > Doodle now saves drawings and are available as Email attachments.

    4. New browser interface, various vocal prompts and confirmations, next/answer arrows on math flashcards...
    Lots of little stuff :)

*This release also has the public Kidrocket site in the browser temporarily, while we finish the new kidsafe version of the site.

    Visit http://kidrocket.org/download.php to download Beta3.

Please feel free to post any questions or comments you may have here.

    Hope you like it! :)

I've been waiting foe weeks for this new version and for most it looks great. But I've only got it for one day and I've got "problem" with it.

I don't like that, now the frontpage online(kidrocket)is open for downloads. In the old version my kid couldn't get to the download page. Now he can download this beta version again and again. Can you fix this?

    Hi hoffyjonsd

The public site in the browser is only temporary on the beta releases, while I finish the new kidsafe site.

It will be back to normal soon, should have a new release ready in a few days.

I'm not sure this is even possible, but I would love a way to select or deselect which sites from the approved list are available for my kiddo. Some are great for my 4 yr old, but I've found he gets frustrated with some of the sites targeted for older kids.

I am so glad I stumbled on your program! Thanks for the great freeware!

    Hey Aggie :)

An editable version is in the works, and since "How do I add or delete websites" was a popular question and thread on the old forums, I created a new one explaining a bit.
    http://kidrocket.org/community/discussion/7/adding-and-deleting-websites/

As for simply enabling/disabling included sites?
I like that idea and will look into it moving towards v2.

    Cheers
