The Disney CARS section of Disney.com has games that open in a pop-up window.

My first question is regarding allowing the pop-up games to show up above the Kidrocket screen so I can keep it in locked mode and he can play the games.

My second issue is regarding a problem allowing the game to play at all. If I keep Kidrocket unlocked, the window will open behind it, so I minimize Kidrocket, but then the pop-up says it cannot display the page. Some do not pop up at all.

Does anyone else have these issues?

    Thanks!

BTW, FANTASTIC program, do you take donations?

    Hi Scully :)

That is actually what I was working on, when this Vista bug report came in.

    The problem has always been...
telling the difference between a popup that is launched by a real person clicking a link, or an ad popup launched by script?
The last time I made the rounds to all my guru friends, it was a unanimous... You can't!
Those ad guys are really sneaky and creative too lol

I have a few new ideas to test though, that should make a reasonably accurate guesstimate and solution for v1.6

On the pop-up saying it cannot display the page?
I'll look, but it sounds like its pulling the content from an external site/URL thats being blocked.
Some improvements are in the works here too.

I'll go look at CARS with this new release right now.

The test version is off to the testers and I'm still looking into this. Those are some nice games ;)
Why they would launch popups from that nice Flash interface is beyond me?

I probably can't get this new popup blocker finished in time for this release, but maybe a temp fix for these particular games.

    Are there any others?

    Stay tuned...

    Greg,

Thanks for looking into that! My son ADORES Disney CARS....and he says it "Disney Cars" ...not just "Cars"....

    Anyhow, I appreciate you trying.

I've managed to distract him for now by suggesting he check out the Hot Wheels page!

Done and in the new version. ;)

    Now...
Popup blocker on = "Blocked Popup" warning and button flash, popup is blocked.

Popup blocker off = "Loading Popup" warning flash, popup content is loaded into main browser window.

It will be in the next release.
A solution for this was way overdue ;)

Greg, you're fantastic, I can't wait. My son keeps asking me if it is fixed yet. I told him that the man who made it is fixing it and he said, "who, God?" I said, "no, Greg." He's confused but it amused me.

    lol :p

New version with the new popup blocker is available on the download page. Warnings for blocked URL's and Downloads now too, no way to unblock those at the moment though. Update checker, bunch of new stuff...

    Hope he like it :)
